Motorhome Qualified Converters Standards
Motorhome and campervan converters have to meet our rigorous high standards to gain their place on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Motorhome Qualification Scheme. This includes having their vehicle meet legal type approval standards allowing first registration as a campervan or motorhome, not as a panel van. They must also have gained approval from the National Caravan Council (NCC) who govern habitation standards and safety of your converted campervan.
And as you would expect, we insist that converters match the term of our base warranty too.
To join the scheme, converters must evidence;
This means that the converted vehicle meets all of the legal obligations for road use, and that it can be registered correctly as a camper or motorhome from first registration
The NCC are the number one body governing camper and motorhome converters. The emphasis of the NCC scheme is on consumer safety and its objective is to ensure the UK Leisure Vehicle industry exceeds the fundamental criteria for products to be safe and fit for their purpose.
We will only consider converters who have established themselves, and specialise in this area. We want to ensure that those carrying the MQS badge have the experience to ensure your converter camper lives up to expectations
