    Selecting the right driving mode

Our electric vehicles offer different driving modes to help you get the most from every journey. Hybrid vehicles come with four modes, including the ability to switch from the 100% electric battery to a petrol engine, which is a great option on longer journeys.

    Regenerative braking

Regenerative braking converts kinetic energy (the energy of movement) into electrical energy when you slow down, helping to extend your range. It also reduces wear on the brake pads, lowering maintenance costs over time. Plus, regenerative braking contributes to a smoother driving experience, as the system gently slows the vehicle without the need for heavy braking.

    Pre-heat in cold weather

The range of an electric vehicle can be reduced in cold temperatures as the battery works less efficiently. Pre-heating your Volkswagen whilst connected to your charger not only helps your battery to work more efficiently, but also means you don’t have to drain energy unnecessary once you’re on the move.
