Extended Warranty options for additional peace of mind
It’s always more comforting to have a warranty, should you experience any sudden failure during the cover period, you’re covered for the repairs and replacement of factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle. We offer two types of warranty: a Factory Extended Warranty that’s available within three months of your initial purchase, and an Extended Warranty that you can purchase anytime from 30 days before your existing warranty is due to expire or, if you do not have a warranty in place.
The benefits of an extended warranty
A warranty gives more than peace of mind. It provides business owners with access to trained Volkswagen technicians who are happy to help you get moving again should your vehicle experience some trouble.
With a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Factory Extended Warranty or Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Extended Warranty, any repairs will be carried out by our experienced team using only genuine parts. You can relax knowing that you will benefit from the expert care that only a Volkswagen Van Centre can deliver.
If you need to make a claim on your warranty, simply contact your nearest Volkswagen Van Centre, providing any supporting documents of your warranty.
Factory Extended Warranty
Every new Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle comes with a three-year warranty that insures you against unexpected repairs. In your third year of cover, the warranty only applies if your vehicle’s mileage is below 100,000 miles1. You can extend this warranty to include unlimited mileage so the third year is always covered.2
It’s also possible to extend the warranty for an additional one or two years or up to 150,000 miles (whichever comes first) once the three years are up. There are flexible options to suit you, so take your pick from 80,000, 120,000 and 150,000 mile limits. All options come with the following benefits:
- There’s no limit to the number of claims you can make
- You don’t have to pay an excess, and you don’t have to pay upfront and reclaim the costs
- If you sell the vehicle the warranty passes to the next owner, helping to increase your resale value
- All repairs are carried out by our authorised Van Centre network using only genuine parts
- Our warranties are competitively priced and are easy to arrange with your local Van Centre.
Extended Warranty
If your existing warranty is about to expire, or if you haven’t already got a warranty in place, a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Extended Warranty is available with a range of cover options to ensure your peace of mind. With an Extended Warranty, your vehicle is never out of service for long.
Some of the features and benefits of a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Extended Warranty policy include:
- 12 months’ cover against the costs of repairing or replacing failed components on your van
- Two levels of cover - ‘All Component Cover’ and ‘Named Component Cover’
- A choice of excess levels - £0, £100 or £250
- Guaranteed use of an Approved Van Centre and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Trained Technicians
- Repairs using only Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Genuine Parts

All Component Cover
If you’re looking for the most comprehensive cover then this is the one for you. It covers the cost of repairing or replacing the factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle that have suffered sudden failure during your period of cover. Named Component Cover
This cover costs less than All Component Cover, yet is extremely beneficial if you’re interested in covering key elements only. This insurance covers the costs of repairing or replacing certain factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle, as listed within the Cover Booklet, that have suffered sudden failure.
